Stone Angel at St Barnabas Penny Lane
A particularly striking feature of St Barnabas Parish Church is the many detailed stone carvings. This page highlights the Stone Angels found at the intersections of the arches in the nave ( Angels #1to #10) and chancel ( Angels #11&12) arcades. These Stone Angels and other carved features were carried out under the direction of Mr Joseph Phillips, the carver employed ay the Liverpool Cathedral then (1913) also in the course of construction.
