Welcome to St Barnabas Penny Lane

On Sunday  September 30th,  St Barnabas Parish Church held a  Welcome to Church day.  A very special  and full day of  services and events was organised. The programme was as follows:

8.30am: Holy Communion Service followed by coffee and conversation

11am : The Teddy Bears' Picnic Service : All Age Family Service including A & K puppets from Ansdell Baptist Church, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

11.45am: The Teddy Bears' picnic on the Dovedale School Playing Fields

12.30 pm to 5 pm : Church open for  church and local history photographic exhibition and slide show.

4pm : Cream Teas in Church

6.30pm: Choral Evensong : Preacher the Archdeacon of Liverpool.

The Welcome to Church Sunday proved very successful with many new families attending St Barnabas for the first time. Here's a selection of photos taken during the day:
